First published in The American magazine as The Pirate Saint November 1935. Title change with hardback publication 1936: by H&S (UK) in black cloth covers, Crime Club (USA) & Musson (Canada).
A crook seeks to use a new diving apparatus to steal a shipment of gold from the ocean bed. Later editions have a foreword by Leslie complaining that modern technology has caught up with it.
