Stories included are: Paris: The Covetous Headsman from The Saint
Detective Magazine Spring 1953. The Saint helps solve a gruesome
murder;
Amsterdam: The Angels Eye from The Saint Detective Magazine
June/July 1953. A fabulous jewel goes missing;
The Rhine: The Rhine Maiden from The American magazine February
1936 where it was called All Aboard for Shanghai. A human story
from a company bankruptcy;
Tirol: The Golden Journey from Nashs Magazine 1934. The
Saint goes hiking with an unwilling companion. He has to spank
her, a scene which was faithfully reproduced in the TV episode
with Roger Moore (the original story appeared in Harpers
1932, but did not have Simon Templar in it and was rewritten);
Lucerne: The Loaded Tourist who is mugged for his briefcase;
Juan-Les-Pins: The Spanish Cow from Pearsons Magazine July
1936. The Saint turns gigolo to steal a necklace; and
Rome: The Latin Touch. The Saint tackles the Mafia.
